Kettle Valley Railway Inukshuk

Watercolour, 11" X 14"

A commission done from the client's photo.

Available as 3 1/2" X 4" greeting card $3.50

Someone commissioned this painting as a remembrance of a day biking on the Kettle Valley Railway trail, in the Okanagan. I was really pleased with how the light turned out, the stone with the stone wall backdrop and a few ferns.

The Inukshuk is an Inuit (previously known as Eskimo) sculpture of rocks to leave a message for travellers following through the Artic wilderness, and was also a symbol of the 2010 Vancouver Olympics. This one is far from the cold country where they originated!
