I'm delighted to be exhibiting here, it's my only show in the Lower Mainland this year. Come out and see me and many other talented craftspeople for great ideas. I expect to be in my usual spot!

I'll be exhibiting with 2 artist friends at 117 3rd Street, just up from the lake near Pioneer Park. Come on out--it's a great day to explore what this lovely community has to offer!

There will be an assortment of artists showing here including myself with some great work!

This is my biggest show of the year and the only show in the Lower Mainland. It's a great event, 40+ years old and many returning artisans. I'll have new work, calendars for 2023 and lots of cards.

I'm so pleased to have two of my works selected into this juried exhibition--one encaustic that relates to the theme of the exhibition--"Gratitude" and the other a new plein air watercolour and ink piece.

So glad to be here again after last year's cancellations and this year's floods!

I'm pleased to have two of my paintings juried into this highly competitive show!

Fortythree of my paintings of various places I've been (or from inside my head!) are on display until after Christmas. Maybe you'll recognize some of them or have a desire to go and visit once the world opens up again.

Join me at my last show of the year in the Lower Mainland. Note the extended hours this year, Saturday until 6 pm!

A great exhibition following up from last year's successful event where artists submit a work of art (This year expanded from art, writing and sculpture to include any for of art) and then respond to a work they are assigned. I have 2 works in this show, one of which contains some quotes from the playwrite George Ryga who inspired the festival.
About 50 artists are showing!

Other members of the Federation of Canadian Artists of the South Okanagan and myself will have 2 pieces here, come by and check out the show!

Pleased to announce that I have 2 works in the very amazing "Inspired By" show in Summerland Art Gallery in partnership with the 3rd Annual George Ryga festival. Works of art are paired with a piece of writing, all anonymous until the opening reception which was held Tuesday August 29.
I submitted the painting below which was inspired by this delightful piece by Beth Haggerty:

It was an intimate space:
the touch,
the glance,
the breathless speech.
Unspoken words--no need; expressions said it all.
A light touch, a gentle caress, the lean-in; thighs aligned, elbows abutted.
A quick head-shake; hair tossed with eyebrows raised and scrunched, while soft whispers were sprinkled with giggles and laughter.
The glorious wonder of special friends and two spoons scooped in ice-cream: a shared treat.

It came fully into fruition in Petershof, Russia, at Catherine the Great's Summer Palace, when I saw a gorgeous gilt fountain statue of two mermaids blowing horns to entice sailors. Change the horns to ice cream cones, add a baseball cap, and I was happy to visually replicate the lovely twist of the writing in a visual fashion. And you know how I love to paint mermaids!
This piece is for sale framed, and I have several smaller preliminary works available as well. Pm me if interested!
This incredible show with 70 works is well worth a very long visit to take them all in. On until September 29th.

Members of the Devine Art group, myself included, will be set up in most of the gardens on this bi-annual garden tour.

Summerland's Art Studios will be opening their doors to welcome visitors in to see how they make their magic happen. Bring the kids and learn together about the fascinating world of ART!

The brochure is available at various info centres and the Summerland Community Art Centre.



You can see a forge where a blacksmith creates beautiful sculptures with red hot iron! How about a photographer's studio, or a clothing designer cutting patterns and printing fabric, making lovely clothing. There are potters and painters, wood turning and painting with wax. Jewellery makers showing how they make stones into semi precious gems, and so much more!



Map/brochures are available at Visitor Info Centres, Libraries, Art Galleries, and participating artists.

My studio is located at 1500 Harding Street, Summerland. It is in the Trout Creek area of Summerland, about 2 minutes off Highway 97 (turn towards the lake at the Esso Station, Johnston Street lights) Hope to see you there!

Great walks and views, and the heritage lodge and grounds are beautiful too!

Many businesses in Summerland, including banks, downtown merchants, and wineries, will be paired with local artists for the month of August. Maps are available at the Summerland Art Gallery. Look for your favourite artist on the tour!

My work will be shown at 8th Generation Winery on the Highway at Trout Creek--across the vineyards and orchards from my studio--and at the CIBC on Main Street in Summerland. Enjoy!

This show features some pieces from artists on all the studio tours around Penticton, including Summnerland, Okanagan Falls, and Naramata. I have two pieces hanging, come on down and see the richness and talent of Okanagan artists!
