At the Faery Ball

This little piece almost made the cut for the 2014 calendar however the detail was too fine to see clearly in the smaller version. I started with an abstract colour and ink-splashed paper and as I turned it round to see what else was there, the fairies started to appear, dressed in long ball gowns, looking over a brick wall at the dancers in the garden behind. I just do not know where these fairies keep coming from!
